Apply to Join the Team! Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. March 8-15, 2026
How to apply:
1) Visit your specific Sports Page, located under the SPORTS button on the top menu bar.
2) There you will find the athlete application link or other information on how to apply for your team.

If Selected for the Team...
There is a $2000 registration fee that includes the following:
- Travel from where the athelte resides to the games and back
- A parade uniform (Heavy coat, light jacket, snowpants, gloves, hat, and backpack)
- Food and lodging while at the games.
What the fee does NOT include:
- Sport specific uniforms (jerseys, warm ups... )
- Souvenirs
Team alaska athletes must be:
2) Between the ages of 12 & 18. Some sports have special exceptions to this age range. Read the sport Technical Package for specific age requirements.
3) Comply with athlete eligibility policies found in the AWG International Staging Manual.
selecting the team:
Team Alaska coaches select the athletes, in collaboration with Mission Staff and Chef de Mission. Details of the team selection process can be found in each team's "Athlete Application and Selection Criteria" Document (available under the "Sport" tab).
When selecting the team, coaches will take some of the following factors into account:
- Playing Experience
- Coach's recommendation
- References
- Skills evaluation of tape, DVD, youtube URL, or live performance
