Announcement: The Arctic Winter Games International Committee (AWGIC) announced the 21 sports that will be part of the 2012 Arctic Winter Games.

They are Alpine Skiing, Arctic Sports, Badminton, Basketball, Biathlon-Ski, Biathlon-Snowshoe, Cross Country Skiing, Cultural Events, Curling, Dene Games, Dog Mushing, Figure Skating, Gymnastics, Hockey, Indoor Soccer, Snowshoeing, Speed Skating, Table Tennis, Volleyball and Wrestling.
